1. A- Category Seats/ Convener Quota:
AP EAMCET is an entrance examination held for admissions into various undergraduate (B.Tech.) professional courses offered at universities and colleges in Andhra Pradesh. These are called category A seats. The selection procedure for this exam is done after results of the examination are declared by JNTU. This process is known as counselling, which is usually scheduled in the month of June. Candidates will be called for counselling as per the rank obtained in the entrance exam and 70% of the seats are filled through EAMCET counselling. The EAMCET qualified candidates will be allotted seats based on their merit, category, gender, local area, and importantly availability of seats.
B.Tech.- II Year- Lateral Entry through AP ECET:
The admissions are made by Govt. of A.P. through Centralized Web counselling. The students have to qualify in 3 years Diploma course or equivalent exam and must qualify AP ECET exam conducted by Govt. of A.P. AP PGECET is an entrance examination held for admissions into various postgraduate (M.Tech.) professional courses offered at universities and colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
AP ICET is an entrance examination held for admissions into various postgraduate (MBA/ MCA) professional courses offered at universities and colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Rules of Reservation for Admission: Category-A seats of all UG & PG programs shall be as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
2. B- Category Seats/ Management Quota:
The colleges can fill 30% seats can be filled under the management and NRI quota. These are called category B seats.
The following is the procedure to fill the seats for B.TECH, M.TECH, MBA and MCA Programs.
a. Notifications’ have to be brought out by all the managements of the non minority private colleges of Engineering and Technology, in at least two leading newspapers.
b. The notifications must invite applications both in the physical format as well as on-line for admission to category-B seats.
c. The physical format of the proforma application shall be put up by the respective colleges on its notice board
d. It should also be sent to the university to which it is affiliated.
e. The proforma application forms must also be submitted to the A.P. State Council of Higher Education which will also put up the same on the notice board and website for students to easily access them to submit after duly filling in.
f. Candidates must send the duly filled in applications (online/ hardcopy) as per notification.
g. The colleges shall consider the received applications and prepare a merit list in the descending order of the applicants.
h. The Merit List must be displayed on the notice board as well as the website of the respective colleges for two weeks.
i. It should be made available for the scrutiny of the Convener (Admissions), EAMCET/ ECET/ PGECET/ ICET.
j. Admissions will also be as per the Merit List in the descending order of the applicants
k. The colleges have to obtain ratification from the Competent Authority for all the admissions conducted under category-B seats
l. Tuition fees shall be charged as prescribed by AFRC for category-B seats

Document Retention Policy
CREC follows the AICTE rules and regulations of document retention policy. The All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) instructs the Institutes not to Hold Original Documents of STUDENTS.
AICTE has directed all the technical institutions not to keep original certificates of students if they discontinue their courses. AICTE has warned all the technical institutions that the violation of the directives could lead punitive action such as fine, suspension of approval and reduction of approved intake.
