Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical department started. with Four-Year B. Tech Course in ME in 2004, with an intake of 60 seats. Based on its track proven records of Excellence it has grown to 120 seats in 2010-11. The department also accredited by NBA in 2011 for 3 years. Department is also offering M. Tech (CAD/CAM), a two year full time post-graduate program approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for the students who have a B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering branch. The admission into this program is through GATE/PGECET.Mechanical Engineering Department has well qualified and experienced
faculty. The department is well equipped with laboratories to cater the academic requirements. The department has established Desalt Systems lab in association with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Center (APSSDC) to meet the latest demand in design software’s for the students. The department has started Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) in 2008 with a mission to promote technical excellence by conducting various programs to the students in technical as well as extra-curricular activities.
